GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in force in all the Member States of the EU since 25 May 2018.
The Internet Site Luneau Technology UK Ireland establishes relations between surfers (existing or potential clients) with the French subsidiary of the Luneau Technology group, Luneau SAS, particularly through requests for estimates, contacts, and telephone callbacks.
To obtain responses, the existing/potential Clients have to share Personal Data that is collected, processed, and protected pursuant to this Confidentiality Policy.
The company respects the protection of the existing/potential Clients’ private life and their Personal Data and undertakes to respect current regulations.
I – Personal Data relating to existing/potential clients
A) Which Personal Data is collected and why?
a) Creating an account The existing/potential Client may create an account to have access to his personal space by the compulsory communication of his e-mail address and a password. The password is encrypted and Luneau Technology UK Ireland has no knowledge of it.
As well as: surname, first name, company, town, telephone number, enterprise name, company type.
The account enables the existing/potential client to manage his Personal Data and have access to the requests made on the Internet Site.
Request forms “To obtain an estimate”:
Compulsory: the compulsory information required from the existing/potential Client in the request form “To obtain an estimate” is as follows: first name, surname, address, e-mail, telephone number, post code, town, type of existing/potential client (ophthalmologist/optician/orthoptist), corporate name.
The company also collects the following data:
Form “Request for contact?”:
The information items required from the existing/potential Client in the contact request form are: Contact type, department, profession, name, email, telephone number, and request content. This information is neither stored nor reprocessed and is solely used to respond to the existing/potential client’s request.
Immediate callback request form:
The compulsory information items required from the existing/potential Client in the immediate callback request form are: department, profession, surname, telephone number, and message. This information is neither stored nor reprocessed and is solely used to respond to the existing/potential client’s request.
End-uses: the provision of these personal data by the existing/potential client is compulsory to enable the company to meet the requests for estimates, technical advice, callback, or information.
The personal data from creations of accounts and requests for estimates also enables the company to manage its existing/potential clients file, to manage the continuing relationship with its existing/potential clients, and, if need be, to meet its legal obligations.
The data collected on the creation of the account allows the existing/potential client to create and manage his account.
A professional who does not wish to provide compulsory information will not be able to formulate any request, or receive information, or create an account.
B) How is the Personal Data processed?
The Personal Data is subject to computer processing by the company
Luneau Technology UK Ireland undertakes not to use them for another purpose, or to transmit them to third parties, except in the cases provided below or pursuant to an express agreement by the existing/potential client concerned.
Addressees: to respect the above end-uses the existing/potential client’s Personal Data is transmitted to the commercial agent or technician qualified to respond to the requests formulated and also to the administrative service that may respond to the requests for estimates formulated.
Contractors: the Personal Data may be communicated to third parties (staff, its affiliated companies or suppliers) solely if there has been a prior express agreement for end-uses listed above and for information purposes. Luneau Technology UK Ireland takes every step to require these addressees to respect the regulations applicable. The suppliers are authorised to process the Personal Data solely on Luneau Technology UK Ireland’s instructions.
Conservation and archiving: the Personal Data concerning the existing/potential clients is conserved for a period of 3 years for the purposes of managing the file and, where applicable, canvassing for new clients, and are archived for a maximum period of 5 years – the period necessary for the demonstration, exercise, or defence of a legal right (period of prescription).
The starting point for this period is the end date of the relations between the existing/potential client and Luneau Technology UK Ireland respectively – particularly the last request or contact or, in the case of creation of an account, of the date this account is closed.
Luneau Technology UK Ireland shall ensure these Personal Data are conserved and archived in suitable security conditions while respecting the applicable regulations in accordance with current technical methods.
C) What rights over the Personal Data communicated?
Any person who has communicated Personal Data to Luneau Technology UK Ireland is entitled to exercise the following rights over them:

These rights must be exercised pursuant to the regulations in force. In particular, the applicant shall be asked for an identity document so as to prove his identity to the company to prevent any unauthorised access to the Personal Data concerned.

Every person has the right to object to receiving information e-mails from Luneau Technology UK Ireland at any time.
